Q.

20 month old

My little girl just does not eat! She is 20 months old and weighs 9.5 kilos. I try to keep her going with finger foods, of which she may have a bite or two of.
My husband and I are also pretty small people.
I am just very concered about the fact that she is just not eating her food. She is healthy and does not appear underweight to the eye. This has been going on for months now

Your daughter's weight is well below the average for her age.In fact her weight is below the lowest line on the children's growth chart.Although you mention that you and your husband are small people this alone would not explain her weight. She has a significant problem with her poor appetite which may be due to some problem such as a blocked nose.I would be happier about your little girl if you had her carefully checked up by a paediatrician.
