2 year suddenly not sleeping at night

Hi Doc

My baby boy is 27 months old and for the past 2 weeks he has been waking every hour. He cries for a bottle (water) and fusses and tosses the entire night. However when he wakes up he is a happy baby and his normal self. What I''m worried about it that we started potty training and it has not been going too well. And at night when he cries then he wants me to put him on the potty, but during the day he doesn''t want the potty. So my question is this>  Is it possible that I''m putting too much pressure on him, causing him to have sleepless nights? Or could this just be a phase that he is going through?

Boys of this age are not as easy to potty train as little girls of the same age.It does seem that your little son is taking his potty training a bit too seriously and it is causing him some sleepless nights. It would be a good idea to give him a total break from potty training for about 2 weeks and then start again. Use a reward systen such as a star chart with little gifts after 3 or 4 stars and try to keep things as relaxed as possible. Also give him lots of praise whenever he does get things right.
