If your daughter has a vaginal discharge it is important to know if it is a white discharge or if it smells bad and has a yellowish colour. A white vaginal discharge in this age group is often due to a yeast infection and usually follows on recent antibiotic treatment. If the discharge is not white and if it has a bad smell it may be due to a small object such as a bead having been pushed up into the vagina. It is not unusual for young children to do this. Either way it would be best to take your daughter to see your paediatrician about this discharge.
