Q.

2 year old sleeping on my chest

Please advise me. My two year old has been sleeping perfectly well in her own bed in her own room for a long time. Now she has started waking up int the middle of the night calling me and when I lie with her she wants to sleep on my chest the whole night. Does this mean she is insecure or scared or what can it mean?

Obviously your daughter feels warm and secure when she sleeps like this. It may have started off the first time following her having a bad dream and needing to be comforted, but now it is becoming or has become a habit. She will wake up every night and want you to come and sleep in her bed. If you feel that you can carry on for a while still letting her sleep like this the that is fine. Hopefully this is just a passing stage and she will stop after a few more weeks. If you find that it is disrupting your sleep then it may be best to try to stop this habit now by using the controlled crying method.

hi, my 4 year old son does this. he won''t let me touch him, he just wants to sleep as close to me as possible. my 2 year old son will do this most of the time as well and he will hold on to me and tell me to hold him as well. looks like it is a phase or something at this stage. any suggestions / help will be appreciated.
