2 year old daughter constantly ill

My daughter is currently 2 years old. She started nursery school in February last year and since then has been ill every month. As soon as it seems that’ s she’ s getting better, she gets ill again. Its always either a chest, throat, ear or eye infection, and sometimes all at the same time. She also always has phlegm on her chest, coughing, running nose and she’ d been diagnosed with Ashtma last year. I can’ t even count on my fingers how many times she’ s been on antibiotics. She' s also always constipated.

I’ ve been especially worried since she’ s been constantly ill for the last 2 months. She’ s been coughing everyday and has had a fever most days. In the past 2 months she’ s been to the doctor 8 times. 6 times to our G.P who refused to give her antibiotics and her chest kept on getting worse. I decided to take her to her paediatrician who diagnosed her with chest, throat, ear and eye infection and sent her for x-rays which showed the chest infection. He prescribed R900 worth of meds, which included a 10 day course of augmentum and also a Seritide inhaler and various eye and nose drops and also some more allergy medication. Just as she was getting better again and whilst still being on the antibiotic, she started with a fever again and got ill and she also starting complaining that it was sore when she urinated and she refused to go to the loo for a whole day. Her paediatrician was off and I was referred to another Paediatrician who couldn’ t believe the medicine the other paediatrician prescribed and he felt it to be unnecessary. He also said the antibiotic was way to strong and the course was way too long. This paediatrician also had her urine tested and it come back clear. So at this moment, I’ m terribly confused and I have no idea which doctor to trust as they don’ t agree with each other. What also concerns me is that her original paediatrician commented that my daughter only grew 2-3cm in 7 months.

Below is a list of all the different medications she’ s been on since February last year and most of them was more than once.

Clamentin S, Dimetapp, Dynexan, Moxypen, Venteze syrup, Naphensyl, Berotec, Cepodem, Bronkese, Celestamine, Duro-Tuss, Zaloxy, Tobradex, Seretide inhaler, ashavent inhaler,
Orelox Junior, Linctopent, Safrodex, Drixine, Augmentum, Zertec, Allecette, Allergex Syrup, Clarinese

Please do you have any advice for me as I really don’ t know what to do anymore and I hate seeing my daughter suffer like this?

thanks in advance,

I have only one main piece of advice for you and that is to take your child out of 'school' now. She is getting the typical problems of recurrent infections which we call the 'creche syndrome' She simply cannot carry on like this. The medicine list is enough to cause me to have a sleepless night. Please do yourself and your little daughter a favour and keep her at home especially for this winter.Give her a good probiotic and Viral Choice junior all this winter.
