2 Year old

Hi Doctor, I have a two year old son. He is lactose intollerant and is asthmatic. My question is this, what drink would be good for him? He has bad chest from orol and drink soy milk maybe once a day. He also drinks rooibos tea now and again. My second question, he drinks a lot, I would estimate about 1 to 2 litters a day, if not more, he always want something to drink. It this normal on could be something?

You can give your son the new Easygest milk to drink which is suitable for children with lactose intolerance.Try to avoid giving your son too much fruit juice.I am concerned that your son is drinking up to 2 litres of fluid a day as this is excessive for a 2 year old. Ask your doctor to see him and have his urine tested to make sure that he is not diabetic.

Hows his weight? drinking so much could be diabetes. If he urinates a lot and is skinny, it could be a sign of diabetes.
