2 year old

good day doctor, my 2 year old son has a long history of asthma, chest infection and constant wheezing. He has been on Singulair, Flixotide and Duovent (when needed) for tha pst year. It is getting better as we had not been in hospital this year but he still gets the wheezing and coughing. He has had this now again for the past 5 weeks. He has been on aspelone for 5 days but he is still coughing, not as bad, and it sounds like loose phlegm. I have added ACC 200. He also still sounds a bit wheeze. Should i just continue with the duovent fot he wheeze or alternate with the nebulizer as well?

It is vital to find out why your son is wheezing despite the excellent medicines he is on for asthma. His diagnosis may not be correct. Your son should be seen by a paediatric pulmonologist. There are experts in all the main centres in SA.
