1year old who doesnt want to eat

Hi, my 12 mnth old boy seems to be a fussy eater. He was 2.82kg at birth, at present he isnt even 10kgs yet. This worries me alot, even though he is a healthy busy boy. He refuses to eat normal food ie the food we eat. He only eats his cereal and yoghurt and prefers Ollie organic jar food. I intro-d him to solids at 5 &  a half months. His paed advised to get him on proteins which we are trying to but he refuses to eat anything and makes himself sick. Ive even started him on Scotts Emulsion and Vidalyn Iron Drops which i give him on alternate days. I dont know what to do anymore.

The average weight for a 12 month old baby boy is 9.7kg so you do not need to worry about your son's weight. Many babies prefer to eat soft well mashed food at this age and only slowly start to eat other foods. Have patience and your son will start eating other foods as he gets a bit older. Only introduce one new food at a time when he is ready to start eating other foods.

Exactly my situation. I had a similar situation wih my baby boy and I have tried everything - I still remember asking for help/suggestions here with no luck, yes people did suggest many ideas. Today he is six years and still eating very slowly - my son you won' t find him saying he is hungry but only for sweet junk foods!!

I wish your son changes soon and becomimg NOT be like mine!!
