18 months vaccine

HI Doc

I took my son at the government clinic yesterday for an 18months vaccine and they only gave him 1 for measles and ask to me come back next week for the other one because of the insuffiecient stock but then I decided to go to clicks pharmacy for the next vaccine.

But after an hour my son started to change and could not work properly b' cos his right leg twisted inside and he starts crying alot as if he is feeling pain somewhere. I got frustrated the I took him back to the pharmacy and they check him but couldn' t help and reffered me to the DR. who was also frustrated and didn' t know what might be the cause and asked me to go home with him and check if today it will be the same.

He became to get better when time goes on becaue by the time he sleeps he seems ok also this morning he is looking fine. But I am worried what if in future this will be back and become permanent. Is it normal to a baby to react like that because of immunization?

Your baby seems to have had some pain where the injection was given. He settled down well and the problem did not seem to last too long. It is unlikely to happen again. Tell the clinic nurse about your experience when you take him for his next injection.
