Q.

18 months -BAD BREATH

Good day all,

My 18 months baby has bad breath, any suggestions or medical advise- babies should smell good -sweet &  fresh. She doesn`t suck her thumb- I`ve watched her diet (fruits n veges) are part of her meal, breakfast n lunch. I hv even bought a milk teeth brush and tooth paste all the same.

Please advise....

You are quite correct, babies should not have bad breath. When they do there is always a reason. The most common at this age is a blocked nose causing mouth breathing or infected tonsils. Either way it is necessary to see your paediatrician so that a clear diagnosis can be made and this problem sorted out.
