Your little toddler has become very used to this pattern of waking for a feed every hour or so. You have done well and breast fed him for 18 months. The plan now must first be to get him into his own bed and then to break this cycle of continuous breast feeding. There is no simple way to to this other than to offer him a formula feed in the evening before bedtime and then to see that he goes to sleep in his own bed or cot.He should preferably not be in your room as he will keep waking you up for a feed.Remember that you are exhausted and you cannot continue with things as they are.
