PLEASE HELP ME, MY 15 WEEK OLD HAVE DEVELOPED A COUGH OVER THE WEEKEND, YOU CAN CLEARLY HEAR THE PHLEM IN HIS CHEST AND THROAT AND HIS NOSE IS ALSO BLOCKED. I CLEAN HIS NOSE UP TO 4 TIMES A DAY WITH A NASAL ASPIRATOR AND USES SALEX. WHAT CAN I DO ABOUT THE COUGH? I USE PUMA RUB ON HIS CHEST AND UNDER HIS FEET AFTER HIS BATH IN THE EVENINGS. HE IS STILL EATING AND SLEEPING LIKE NORMAL, BUT WILL COUGH HIMSELF AWAKE DURING THE DAY.

Your baby may have a viral chest infection called bronchiolitis. You are treating him correctly. If he sleeps well and feeds well without getting short of breath then he should get better by himself. If he continues to cough and you are worried about him ask your doctor to see him.
