Hi Doc,
I will really appreciate your advise on my nearly 16 month son.
he is a very restless sleeper. he is still breastfed at night and he generally eats well. he is on formula during the day and naps during the day but come evening he will sleep at 8, then wake at 9 drink alittle breast milk for 5 min then dose off again, then wake up at 10:30, drink again for a min or two and this pattern will carry on throughout the night, as a result i am so tired in the morning. pls help as this can''t go on.

Your little toddler has become used to demand breast feeding at night. He is waking up very frequently and keeping you awake as well. You have done well with breastfeeding him so it is up to you but it seems like it is time to stop. Make sure that he gets his formula before bed after having a good filling supper. Our regular paediatric forum members will have some advice for you as well and also our breastfeeding forum on health24.
