15 MONTH OLD BABY GIRL

DEAR PROF MY GIRL IS 15MONTHS SHE HAS A FLOPPY GLOTTIS WAS BORN WITH IT AT 37 WEEKS WEIGHING AT 2.62KG SHE HAS PICKED UP WEIGHT SLOWLY OVER THE YEAR SHE IS STILL TINY FOR HER AGE BUT THE DR SAID TWINS ARE NORMALLY SMALL
MY CONCERN IS LAST YEAR WHEN SHE WAS 4 MONTHS SHE WAS ADMITTED TO HOSPITAL FOR BRONCHIOLITUS THEY ENT ALSO SAID HER ADONOIDS ARE SWOLLEN AND SHE WILL HAVE TO REMOVE THEM BUT WHEN SHE IS OLDER
I GIVE HER SALEX DROPS OCCASSIONALLY JSUT TO KEEP HER NOSE CLEAR
CAN I NEUBILIZE HER WITH SALINE IN THE MACHINE PERHAPS EVERY SECOND DAY ALSO TO KEEP HER CHEST CLEAR
I WANT A PRO-ACTIVE APPROACH TO AVOID HER GETTING SICK AGAIN BECUS OF HER FLOPPY GOLTIS AND SWOLLEN ADONOIDS WHAT CAN I DO TO HELP HER
BY WHEN WILL HER FLOPPY GLOTTIS BE FULLY GROWN

Usually babies outgrow the floppy glottis stage when they are 18 months to 2 years of age. You need to keep her nose clear by using Salex every day. Do not nebulise her with saline. Give her a good probiotic daily to boost her immunity.
