15 month old and bananas

Dear Doc
We have a very healthy 15 month old girl. She eats her porridge in the morning, a snack like full cream yoghurt and fresh cooked apple during the morning, at lunchtime she used to enjoy her cooked veggies and chicken meal, now suddenly she doesn''t want to eat that, but would ask for a banana and maybe a second one!!! She eats a little snack maybe again fruit or a rusk in the afternoon and at dinner she eat with us either fish, chicken or other meat and veggies. She also still has 3 milk bottles a day of 200ml each.
Is it ok for her to have 2 bananas at a time to replace her meal? I am scared that she will pick up too much weight? She weighs 9.5 kg.

Thanks doc.

Bananas are a healthy fruit for your little girl. They are rich in minerals and vitamins and will only do her good. This is just a temporary stage where she is so keen on bananas. Bananas will not cause her to be overweight.
