Q.

14 months old baby and not walking

Dear Doctor,

I have a 14months old son and he is scared to walk. Is there a way to encourage a child to walk at that age? Should I be worried. He is very active, he crawls very fast, he also hold onto the furniture whenever he walks and does not want to let go. If he stands on his own, if you encourage him to take few steps, he simply sit down and crawl.

Your little son is getting ready to walk and he should be walking quite soon. Many babies only start walking at 14 or 15 months so there is no need for concern.
