Q.

14 month old with soft spot appearing


Hi Prof

My son is 14 months and His soft spot has not close..

Hes fine healthy and eats well...do you knw why is it still not close?

Please also advise on the best age to take them to crech.

The fontanelle or soft spot on a baby's head should close by the age of 18 months. If your baby's fontanelle has not closed by then please ask your paediatrician to see him.If you have to put your child in a creche then it is probably best to do so when he is 2 years old.
