Q.

13yr old lumps on eyes

My daughter have in the (inner) corners of both her bottom eyelids small lumps and i took her to the doctor who treated it with allergex drops and eye ointment, but it won''t go away. Kindly advise what to do doc.

It is difficult to be sure about your daughter's lumps on her lower eyelids without being able to see her. There are several possibilities. This may be due to an infection which is called a stye. The eye ointment should have helped her if the lumps are due to an infection, so this is probably unlikely. Another possible cause is a cyst called a meibomium cyst and a third possibility is that this is sign of possible raised cholesterol which is known as a xanthelasma. It would be best to ask an eye specialist [ophthalmologist] to see your duaghter.
