Q.

12 week old not drinking enough

My 12 week old baby is only drinking 100 - 140ml Nan 1 per feed, 4 - 5 times per day. Is this enough? What can I do to increase his appetite? He was on S26 gold, but was also drinking the same amounts.

It would have been helpful if you would have mentioned your baby's weight in order to see if he is gaining weight normally. The average weight for a baby boy of 12 weeks is 6.2kg. Your baby should be taking a little more formula than he is. His fluid requirement works out at 840ml a day and he is taking 700ml at the most.It all really depends on his weight. If his weight is good and he is growing normally then there is no need for concern.
