11 week old jerking

Good morning,
My 11 week old little boy has started jerking almost the whole time he is awake. His arms and legs jerk, and his face twitches too. He seems to have no control over his muscles at all. When he''s drinking his bottle or sleeping he is still, but otherwise he is in constant motion. Should I be worried and take him to a paediatrician, or is this normal for a baby of his age?

Very young babies may have occasional jerky movements which are quite normal. However they do not jerk all the time and also not all the limbs at the same time either. Also it is unusual for a baby's face to twitch.I am concerned that your baby is having a form of seizure disorder that may occur in infants It is very important that you take your baby to see a paediatrician ASAP.Please let me know about the paediatrician's opinion.

Good morning,
Thank you for your reply. I took my baby to our paediatrician last Wednesday, and he examined him, but said that there was nothing that he could tell from the visit. He suggested that when I notice something specific that worries me, that I should record it and show him, and we could then do tests for seizure disorder. The face twitching hasn''t happened again, but I will go back to him as soon as I see anything unusual.
Thanks and regards
