The purity priune juice and priunes is a good idea. It may be his formula that is constipating him. I don't usually like changing a formula at this stage, but try him on Lactogen 2 and see if this helps.Give him plenty of fruit in his diet.

Sometimes a too high protein diet is also the cause of constipation. Too much cheese, milk and egg can trigger constipation.

Try getting him to eat more fresh fruit and green veggies. Also maybe try to increase his fibre intake by adding wholewheat toast / provita to his daily diet.

OTC meds - Laxette or Dupholac can also be safely administered to help soften stools.

I have a 3 year old, and he has NEVER been constipated. But what i did have was when putting in the bath water i use to make it nice and warm. WIth out fail every time i put him into the bath he tummy went. It is the warmth of the bath that relaxes the muscles or what ever. But like i said no constipation at least for him.
