Hi there,

My son does not eat food well - there are days he will eat nicely then other days he will want nothing and he stomach will make a noise. The ped is happy with his weight though. He loves eating cheese curls, rice buscuits &  marie buscuits but his food is always a mission. What can I do to get him to eat as he should be doing?
Thanking you,

It is common for babies of this age to eat well at times and not so well at other times. As long as his weight is good he should be fine.Rice biscuits are good for him but not chees curls. He also should not eat too many Marie biscuits which will fill him up and affect his appetite.

Start by cutting out the cheese curls and marie biscuits and only giving the rice biscuits as an occassional snack.

Babies have hungry and not so hungry days just like adults do, so it is normal to want to eat more on some days than others.
If his weight is normal he''s probably fine - though it sounds like your worry is more about the nutritional value of not eating his meals.
Offer healthy meals to him and don''t give sweets and chips and biscuits and then when he is hungry he will eat.
Babies this age often love finger foods as they can feed themselves with them - so pieces of fresh and dried fruit are popular, even things like raw broccolli.
