10 month - form of rash

Dear Paed

Yesterday I noticed that my 10month old has a about 7 tiny clear blister like spots on his right leg . They are far and in between sort of going up to his knee from his ankle and then stops. After a good scoping, they don' t appear anywhere else on his body. I initially thought that a flea got stuck in his pants from his crawling, but we don' t have pets. They don' t appear to trouble him at all, but obviously a concern for me. I can definitely rule out chicken pox as he had this 3 weeks ago and has healed nicely. Should I be concerned? Could this be allergy related?

This sounds like a skin condition caused by a single flea bite which is an allergic reaction to the bite. It is called papular urticaria. It is difficult to treat and the rash can last as long as 3 months. Apply calamine lotion to the rash at least twice day.
