Q.

Melatonin

I am a female senior citizen who has found great relief from insomnia by using melatonin. I understand the new regulations on natural products have resulted in this being no longer available. To my mind this is ridiculous as its efficacy is well-documented. I refuse to use any drug to assist me to sleep. What can I use instead of melatonin?

melatonin is no longer freely available. Drug firmas complained that their sales of adco zolpidem and all other sleeping pills (,im very allergic to it except for melatonin which is a natural product) reduced a lot... sad that they want us sick... and adco zolpidem crushes my immune system, i get easier flu on those pills. I also puke my lungs out in the morning after waking up from it. With melatonin, i felt wonderful, it never felt as if a bus drove over me in the mornings..

Melatonin can still be bought! All they have done is move it from the open shelves to that part of the pharmacy where you have to ask for it. It is still freely available and requires NO prescription.
