In both chronic and acute sinusitis, the symptoms are the same. If you have chronic sinusitis, you will have experienced the symptoms for longer. You may also feel more tired if your sinusitis is chronic.
The following are symptoms of sinusitis:
- Thick nasal mucus
- Bad-tasting post-nasal drip
- A congested nose
- Breathing difficulties
- Facial pain around the eyes, particularly across the nose and forehead
- Headache
- Facial swelling
- Neck pain
- Fever
- Cough
If you suffer from chronic sinusitis, you may also develp nasal polyps. These are growths in the tissue of the nose and sinuses that can cause breathing difficulties.
