A place for all seasons

Evergreen lifestyles within Lake Michelle, nestled in the heart of the Noordhoek Valley is the ideal place to spend a rewarding and enriching retirement.

Designed around a 22-hectare lake, with reed beds and ponds, criss-crossed by wooden walkways, this award-winning eco-estate offers something for everyone. It provides nature lovers and senior residents with an upmarket lifestyle within an established community of younger families, conveniently positioned close to magnificent Long Beach, Long Beach Mall and Noordhoek Farm Village.

Residents Mandy and Douglas Harris relocated from Johannesburg to Lake Michelle 2 years ago, having considered a number of lifestyle options prior to finally settling on the estate. “We regard ourselves as still fairly young and, in our hearts, we felt we weren’t ready for what we considered ‘proper’ retirement living,” says Mandy. “Lake Michelle just seemed perfect – it’s very spacious and well constructed,” she continues.

Peace of mind

Guy and Yvette Couvrer recently relocated to the estate from nearby Kommetjie, wishing to downscale to a location that offered excellent security, a natural lifestyle and lovely vistas. “We’re very happy at Lake Michelle. We enjoy the peace of mind we have here, and also the lovely layout of our home. What’s more, the security is excellent and the staff very friendly and obliging and a pleasure to interact with,” comments Guy.

Further along the lengthy Lakeshore Drive that runs through the estate, reside Graham and Joyce Futcher. “We settled in very well, though we are used to moving, having done so no less than 22 times during our marriage!” laughs Joyce! “The living conditions are lovely and the Evergreen service levels are wonderful. We know we’ve made the right decision.”

Manned security, CCTV cameras and 24-hour patrols also provide total security and peace of mind. Within Lake Michelle, Evergreen Lifestyles, offer an independent, active lifestyle, full of warmth, friendships and laughter, fully-supported and brilliantly managed.

Living at Lake Michelle allows you to create the lifestyle you’ve always wished for, and the ability to pursue your passions at your own pace. Once the Evergreen clubhouse is completed, the facilities will include a dining room/bistro and bar, open plan TV lounge, library, games/billiards room, gym, outdoor swimming pool and nurses’ station.

Every modern comfort

Evergreen residents can choose from a range of magnificent plots situated throughout the broader Lake Michelle Estate, sized from 720m². Evergreen homes (with double garages) offer beautiful interior spaces to match the panoramic views and award-winning 7km long boardwalk. Seamless indoor and outdoor flows make the most of the lake and mountain vistas and the homes offer every modern comfort.

Added financial security also lies in the fact that homes are offered on a Life Right basis, one of the most widely practiced and requested retirement purchase schemes worldwide. Another advantage of Life Rights, of course, is that there are no transfer duty, no VAT and no registration fees. The Life Rights scheme is also protected by the Housing Development Schemes for Retired Persons Act of 1988.

Due to the nature of the purchase scheme, both parties are driven to protect and maintain homes, so as to ensure solid investment protection. Among the many benefits afforded by Life Rights, say Evergreen residents, the freedom from the stress of managing and maintaining one’s home ranks paramount.
