Q.

Pain over whole body, sensitive to touch whereever there is bone near the skin

I have had these episodes twice. Its starts over my ribs and by the next day my whole body (jaw, ribs, shoulders, back of my arms, thighs, hips, heels of my feet) is sore to the touch, almost like bruised sore or I could describe it as a burning kind of stabbing sensation every time those areas are touched. Even dressing is painful. The episode lasts a few days and then gradually goes away. The two episodes are possibly a year apart or slightly less. My GP couldn't tell me what it was. Anti-inflammatories (celebrex) and normal painkillers (paracetamol, mybulen) had absolutely no effect on the pain. What could this possibly be? Additional Info: I have mild symptomatic hypothyroidism (eltroxin 0.05mg daily) with the associated severe sensitivity to cold and fatigue, and I have an Implanon implant (first episode before the implant).
