Could you or a loved one be suffering from osteoporosis? Early diagnosis and treatment are crucial. Unfortunately, many osteoporosis sufferers are already in an advanced stage of the disease before they realise they have a problem.

Take action:

Many older women have fractured spines, but are unaware of it, because they don't feel or hear the bone crack. Height loss, back pain, a protruding abdomen and a dowager's hump on the back are all signs that an older woman has suffered a fractured spine. Brittle teeth may also be a sign of osteoporosis. Be on the lookout for these and consult a physician immediately if you think you have cause for concern.
