Check the amount of calcium you, or your kids, need per day, depending on the life stage you're in: infants – 1000mg of calcium per day; children and teenagers – 1500mg per day; young adults – 1000mg per day; pregnant and breastfeeding women – 1500mg per day; post-menopausal women on hormone replacement – 1000mg per day; and post-menopausal women who aren't on hormone replacement – 1500mg per day.
