Q.

Chronic disease causing tooth decay

I have Hashimotos Thyroiditis as well as Insulin Resistance and I've noticed that my teeth seem to be suffering as a result. I have a good hygiene routine, but every time I go to the dentist there's a filling I have to have or a crown put on and I was wondering if there is an correlation between my chronic illnesses and my dental health?

Periodontal disease has been linked to Thyroiditis but it is unlikely that caries is caused by this.
