General information

Lactobacillus reuteri Protectis is a probiotic. Probiotics contain micro-organisms, usually bacteria, which have health benefits, and can be used to inhibit the presence of other, harmful micro-organisms.

In South Africa Lactobacillus reuteri Protectis is registered for the treatment of prevention and treatment of side effects induced by antibiotic therapy. These include diarrhoea, yeast infections and acute diarrhoea of non-specific origin.
