Take action: Talk to your doctor or pharmacist about taking the proper medication – it depends on the specific area that you're travelling to. Also take note of other ways to keep the mosquitoes away: wear long pants and shirts with long sleeves – especially at dawn and dusk; use long-lasting insecticide sprays inside homes and buildings; apply mosquito repellents directly to the skin; use mosquito netting over the beds – these can be soaked in certain types of insecticide.
