How to change your ostomy bag

Some digestive or urinary diseases (Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, or bladder cancer), involves removing all or part of the small intestine, colon, rectum, or bladder. In these cases, waste leaves the body via an external ostomy bag.  An ostomy connects either the small or the large intestine to the surface of the body. Some patients who have faecal incontinence opt for an ostomy bag over nappies.
