Q.

RECURRENT EAR INFECTIONS

HI, MY SON OF 18MNTHS, HAS BEEN HAVING RECURRENT EAR INFECTIONS. HE HAD BILATERAL GROMMETS PUT IN WHEN HE WAS 15MTHS, HOWEVER THE EAR INFECTIONS HAS NOT STOPPED.THIS IS HIS 3RD EAR INFECTION POST GROMMETS.
EVERYTIME THAT HE HAS HAD A EAR INFECTION HE HAS BEEN ON ANTIBIOTICS.WITH THE LAST 3 EAR INFECTIONS HE HAS
HAD STUFF OOZING OUT OF HIS EAR, PLEASE HELP, I' M DESPERATE, WHAT CAN I DO.

Dear Cynthia

You could go back to your doctor get a second opinion on the cause of the problem, maybe the best would be to go for a full allergy test, to get to the root of the problem. It is often also advisable to make some dietary changes after you have the test results. I would also strongly advise you to see an Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist if you haven't been already.
