Dear Steph1323201

It sounds like it is possible that your fiance might have a hearing loss. Remember, one can have different degrees of hearing loss and also different types. If one for example have a high pitch hearing loss only, one would be able to hear reasonably well in one-on-one conversations but you would struggle with television and in noisy environments like restaurants or at parties. Clarity rather than volume would be the problem.

I would advise that he sees an Adudiologist for a full hearing evaluation. Then we can know what we are dealing with. Same as with our eyes, it is actually advisable for one to have frequent hearing evaluations. If you don't know of an Audiologist in your area, please let me know and i will gladly refer you. You can e-mail me at izabelle@widex.co.za

There is a lot that one can do nowadays to deal with a hearing problem

Please let me know if you have any further questions

Kind regards
