imbalance causing vomiting - menieres?

Recurrence of sudden imbalance with vomiting and nausea four times since August last year. Doctor has suggested menieres diseases. Has suggested I cut out salt altogether, and perhaps (once I have had a kidney function test to assess that) should take a diuretic to reduce build up of fluid in the body, and hence in the cochlea. Don' t drink coffee and hardly ever drink alcohol.

Dear Lorraine

If you are uncertain about the diagnosis then you should discuss it in more detail with your doctor or seek a second opinion. If you haven't seen an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist, i would strongly recommend that you do. If you don't know of someone in your area, please let me know and i will gladly refer you (izabelle@widex.co.za)
