Hearing in my right ear very very low

I am 75 years old and have always had the above problem. At one stage I went to ear specialist and suggested after testing me that there is nothing that could be done to improve hearing on the my right ear,Instead the sound levels were elevated on my right ear through a hearing aid.

Hi Donald

If you havew a sensory neural hearing loss (nerve deafness) on your right ear the only thing that can improve your hearing is to fit a hearing aid. It is difficult to advise without really knowing your exact hearing loss, but I would suggest you have a full hearing evaluation at an audiologist to reassess your hearing and the efficacy of your hearing aid. Feel free to contact the Widex head office for an audiologist in your region. 031 5634425.

Debbie
