Q.

hearing decrease

I am a 31 year woman. The last few months I noticed that I am struggling to hear when people speak. This will be both on phone or in person. I need to constantly look at their lips to try and understand what they are saying. What should I do next? Should I visit my doctor or request to be refered to a specialist?

Dear Hestia

You can start with a visit to an Audiologist and you don't need a referral letter. He/she will be able to evaluate your hearing and then refer you if any further evaluations are necessary. If you don't know of an Audiologist in your area, please let me know and i will gladly refer you and give you the necessary contact detail (izabelle@widex.co.za)

Please let me know if you need any further information

Kind regards
