Dear Thys

There are a number of causes for tinnitus and also a number of ways to deal with it and treat it. What is important is to get to the root of the problem and then treat that first. A few possible influences on or causes of tinnitus is, certain diseases, hearing loss, age, blood pressure, smoking, noise exposure, vitamin deficiencies, stress, alcohol, etc.

The best is to go for a general check-up with you GP, he/she will be able to refer you if any further evaluation is needed and then also see an Audiologist for a full hearing evaluation.

Please feel free to let me know if you need any further information or a referral to a someone in your area (izabellepieterse@gmail.com)

Kind regards
