Q.

Ear wax

Hi Doc. My daughter has a lot of wax in her ears. Is there any medication I can use to get rid / minimize this?

Hi Fee

Ear wax is a normal occurance and important for protecting the outer ear. Some people are just prone to more wax production.

Just dont try remove this with an ear bud - more wax is pushed back than removed. It is also important to check that the wax does not build up to cause a wax plug.

Visit you GP or ENT to have the wax removed ( not syringed) on a regular basis.

Regards
Debbie
