Q.

Will HIV results show positive?

Hi doctor. At August 26 I had unprotected oral sex and protected penile-Vaginal sex with 2 condoms without break or slip! But i didn’t know how properly used it.Because she did wear on me.At 48 hour later I started pep drugs Atripla Cipla. And then i did successfully 28 days.At 5 week after exposure i did antibody test quantative result is 0.331 Non-Reactive.But between 6 week and 7 week at morning i had mild fever and sore throat. And at afternoon i go to lab and test again and my result is 0.501 Non-Reactive.And one day later i had herpes on my lip.If my symptoms is related with hiv then result should show positive. But it is negative.I don’t know what is happening.I also drink pep drugs at July too.Should i need to worry about my result.I had Rna hiv test now.But the result will long 3 days.I am too worried now.Can RNA test at 3 week post pep have definite result?

You were never at any risk of HIV infection. HIV is not transmitted via oral sex and you had protected vaginal sex. There is no need for you to test again. You are HIV negative
