Colds and flu

Q.

Swollen lymph nodes, headaches, various infections etc, What is it?

Around 10 days ago, my lymph nodes in my neck and under armpits got really swollen and painful(pain ended next day but swelling persists) I had a severe headache and all minor openings in skin(Zits, small cuts etc) got infected(contained pus) wounds still unhealed now. Then after a few days, I got a really high fever, including the general symptoms accompanying fever. Fever disappeared the next day. Not long after, and what ails me now, I have extremely swollen tonsils(Literally the biggest I've seen them) severe ear pain in my left ear, and that odd feeling of having a fever but not having a high temperature. Lymph nodes also still swollen. I'm in my second year university exams, and have several other responsibilities, thus couldn't get a chance to see a doctor yet. I don't smoke, don't drink too often, eat very healthy, exercise regularly and I'm fairly stress free. Is this serious? Is it self treatable?

Hi Reinhardt

I hope you are feeling better by now, but this does sound serious. If you are not better by now, you must please go to the doctor. This could be glandular fever and if not treated correctly one can take extremely long to get better. Good luck.
