Q.

Chalazion problem

Hi Dr, Would like to know something, in March I thought I had an allergy of just an eye infection, not prone to these things I did not think much of it..... not smart, fast forward and I have a Chalazion in my lower lid. I've seen my GP and he's confirmed this, and according to him the surgical method is the only way to get this sorted. Now I was hoping, that just maybe with patience and diligence I can do the hot compress like I read everywhere and maybe this can resolve my issue. I've been trying for a couple of days and it seems to be doing the trick, but is this wishful thinking or could it actually work? ophthalmologist.

Hi there

You can try using a hot compress for about a month, and if there is no improvement then you will need to see an ophthalmologist to treat it. It is coming for them to reoccur.

Best wishes.
