Q.

can the use of alcohol with cipralex lead to acute pancreatitis?

My daughter was put onto cipralex as an antidepressant in high school. She went through a period of 2 or 3 years where she drank alcohol while on cipralex- not often but more binge episodes. Could this lead to the damage of the pancreas resulting in pancreatitis? She has been off cipralex for two years but exhibits many symptoms of pancreatitis now. We have consulted a gastroenterologist, who performed a gastroscopy and colonoscopy with no conclusive results except high levels of bowel inflamation. Please help.
