I am not sure what type of porphyria you have, but if you haven’t already, then I would suggest seeing a liver specialist (hepatologist), as the symptoms may be related to the porphyria. If the symptoms are from the diabetes, then you need to make sure that your glucose levels are controlled. If symptoms persist, especially the burning, despite good glucose levels , then they may be due to nerve damage from the diabetes, for which there are treatment options, i.e medications which can be used. I would then suggest seeing your doctor to discuss the medication options.
