Help! The last few mornings since I began testing my sugar levels and given a low. I wake up most mornings with severe headaches, shaking and I walk like a drunk. I test 2 hrs after breakfast and its still low. I tested after lunch and it read low. I have severe headaches, nausea, tingling in feet and feel really bad. I ate 4 gums and drank a glass of juice and 10min later my sugar went up to 4.6 then 35min later it went to 7.1 then 7min later 6.6 and now 20min later 2.2 and my head is throbbing.
Two hours after supper last night (a full meal of veg and pasta) my sugar was 2.7.

Im a 46yr old woman. I am 53kg and 1.62m. I do have hypertension and on medication (Losarten) and my father did have diabetes 1.
What should I do. My doc when I saw him last detected a problem on ECG but my sugar when he took it then was 6.1.

Dear Karen
If you are getting low readings on your machine and you are not diabetic, then you need a formal assessment and formal lab testing to rule out hypoglycemia. This will involve potentially seeing an endocrinologist, as there are intricacies to the testing. It is beyond the scope of this forum to go through the possibilities and potential tests.
