Hi there
Can your fasting glucose level be temporarily higher if you have been eating very badly for a couple of months, ie take outs and sweets as apposed to you eating very health for a couple weeks/months?

Dear Leigh

Glucose in your blood comes from your liver and also from what you eat. Your morning glucose level is mostly from your liver, but if your diet is bad then this can ultimately also have an effect on your morning readings.
