Dear Fathima

Losing weight is always hard regardless of being diabetic. The best way is to cut down on total calories, more so than the type of calories. Different diets that can be used are the low fat, mediterrannean diet, and low carbohydrate diet. Exercise requirements for weight loss are a lot and entail about 60-90 minutes every day. Certainly if you lose enough weight, then you can lower glucose levels into the normal range and be strictly speaking non-diabetic. One would then need to maintain the changes to prevent glucose going up again.
