Istamet is a combination of metformin and Sitagliptin, while Glucomet is a combination of glibenclamide and metformin, so there is overlap in that metformin is being given in both tablets.....I don't think that this is necessary. I can't comment about the insulin, as I don't know which type it is, but if it is a slow release in insulin , then it may be fine
