Wilson’s disease (WD) is a dementing condition caused by excessive copper deposition in the brain. The condition consists of progressive cognitive impairment together with liver abnormalities and psychiatric abnormalities. Copper may also be deposited on the cornea of the eye. Early treatment may lead to significant improvement.
